Certified Trauma Recovery Coach (CTRC)

The International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching (IAOTRC) offers three levels of certification, each with a lengthy list of requirements for Certification at that level.

I am currently a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach (CTRC). I have also completed the coursework for the Advanced Certification (CTRC-A) and am working on completing the full list of requirements for that level. In September 2022, I will be a Supervisor-Candidate for the highest level of Certification (CTRC-S). I have also completed approximately 20 hours of Continuing Education Units/Credits.

I disclose this to my clients so they understand the credentialing process for IAOTRC Certified Trauma Recovery Coaches and have full knowledge of my trauma education and expertise.

I uphold and follow all practices and standards that the IAOTRC requires of their Certified Coaches.

It is a profound honor to do this work. I hope you will allow me to fall into step beside you on your healing journey. Together we will navigate the challenges, garner your strengths, and find peace and joy.

"Recovery can take place only within the context of relationships; it cannot occur in isolation. In her renewed connection with other people, the survivor re-creates the psychological faculties that were damaged or deformed by the traumatic experience. These faculties include the basic operations of trust, autonomy, initiative, competence, identity, and intimacy. Just as these capabilities are formed in relationships with other people, they must be reformed in such relationships." ― Judith Lewis Herman, Trauma and Recovery: The Aftermath of Violence - From Domestic Abuse to Political Terror
